Privacy & your information
Clear about
what you share.
This page describes the information handled by the MyPeerPrep website and how to reach us about it.
Updated October 21, 2026. MyPeerPrep operates this website. For privacy questions, corrections, access or deletion requests, email info@mypeerprep.com or use our contact form.
Information you give us.
Tutoring requests collect contact details, the learner’s general education stage, subjects, learning goals, and practical preferences such as format, general area and availability. Requests about a learner under 18 include guardian information. Please share only what is needed to arrange academic support, without sensitive school, health or financial documents.
Tutor applications collect contact details, education information, subjects, teaching approach, experience, proposed rates, format, area and availability. GPA, test scores and a profile photo are optional. Applications are reviewed before a public listing is approved. Historical applications remain private and their transfer does not imply consent to publication.
Contact and accessibility forms collect your message and preferred response method. Request and session records can include status, session proposals and confirmations, cancellations, completion information and private feedback.
How we use the information.
We use these records to respond, review applications, explore tutor matches, coordinate sessions, manage profiles and address support or quality issues. A request is not a confirmed appointment or payment. This website does not collect tutoring payments or payment-card details.
Who can access it.
Approved tutor profile information is public. Historical listings clearly identify details that still need confirmation. Tutor email addresses, optional GPA and gender details, application information, private messages and administrator notes are not included in the public directory unless an applicable public field has been approved.
Authorized administrators manage private records. An approved tutor account can access its own profile and assigned work. Named tutor email aliases currently deliver to MyPeerPrep’s central business inbox; they are not separate private tutor mailboxes.
Anyone holding a valid private request link can access the information permitted by that link. Keep it private. Use the clear-access control when finishing on a shared device, and contact us if you think a link has been shared unintentionally.
Website and email providers.
WordPress stores website content and service records on our hosting service. Hosting and backup services process the files and information required to run and recover the website. The hosting service sends website notifications; Google Workspace receives mail for the MyPeerPrep business inbox. Notification delivery is recorded separately, so a failed email does not erase a form submission.
External links, such as social-media links, take you to services with their own privacy practices.
Cookies, browser storage and security records.
WordPress uses necessary account and session cookies. The tutor directory keeps the current search in session storage. The request portal temporarily keeps its private access token in session storage so you can use the portal within that browser session; its clear-access control removes that token. Hosting and security tools may record technical information such as IP addresses, request times and errors to operate and protect the service.
Retention and privacy requests.
Service records, historical submissions, notification logs and recovery backups are retained. An automatic deletion schedule is not currently configured. Contact us to request access, a correction or deletion, and include enough information to identify the relevant record without sending a password. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. Copies in recovery backups may remain until those backups are replaced or removed.
Requests involving children.
A parent or guardian should submit and manage requests for a child and be involved in session arrangements. Minor-specific forms request guardian information and confirmation. Do not upload sensitive records about a child. Contact us if information has been submitted without appropriate guardian involvement.
Updates.
We will update this page when the website’s information handling changes. Please contact us with questions about the current practices.
