Hi, I’m Micheal. I’m a senior at Manhasset High School. As a pitcher on the baseball team and a history enthusiast, I’ve learned the value of focus, patience, and always striving to improve. I see tutoring as a way to pass on what I’ve learned and help others grow. Just like in baseball, success in academics comes from practice, strategy, and confidence — and I try to bring that approach to every session.

I want to tutor because history has always been my passion, and I enjoy helping others see how the past connects to the present. I believe everyone deserves a chance to understand subjects that interest them, and tutoring is my way of sharing that knowledge while supporting my community.

I’ve helped younger teammates with schoolwork during baseball season, especially in history and English. I’ve learned that sometimes the best way to teach is to connect the subject to something the student already cares about.

I break history down into stories instead of just memorization. For example, if we’re learning about the American Revolution, I’ll compare it to a baseball game with turning points, strategies, and players who made the difference. Relating big ideas to real life makes them easier to understand.

Balancing varsity baseball and academics has taught me responsibility and time management. On the field, I’ve pitched in high-pressure games, and off the field, I’ve worked hard in history classes to explore my passion for the subject.

My favorite subject is U.S. History because it tells the story of how we got here today. I like making history engaging by focusing on the people and events that shaped our world, not just the dates and facts.

Varsity Baseball Pitcher, Honor Roll student, MVP for Manhasset varsity Baseball.
