Meet Paul.

I’m Paul, from Sayville, and hockey and soccer have shaped the teamwork and focus I bring to tutoring. Algebra is a particular interest of mine because a problem becomes less overwhelming when you can see the steps that lead to a solution.

I break difficult ideas into smaller pieces and use examples from everyday life, sometimes including hockey. After we work through an example together, I encourage the student to try one independently. Helping teammates, classmates, and my younger cousin has taught me to stay patient and explain an idea in a different way when needed.
