Hi, I’m Blake Sealy. I’m a dedicated student-athlete and competitive track runner committed to competing at the Division I level at Rutgers. I’m especially passionate about Social Studies, including U.S. History, World History, Government, and Economics, and I enjoy helping students connect class topics to the real world. As a tutor, I focus on building confidence, improving study habits, and making learning clear and manageable. I bring the same discipline, consistency, and leadership from athletics into every tutoring session.

I want to tutor because I enjoy helping other students grow academically and become more confident in school. I know how much a supportive mentor can help, and I want to give back by making tough subjects easier to understand, especially in Social Studies.

I’ve mentored younger students and teammates by helping them with classwork, test prep, and time management. Through sports leadership, I’ve learned how to communicate clearly, stay patient, and motivate others when they’re struggling. These experiences taught me that consistency and encouragement are just as important as content knowledge.

I break complex topics into smaller steps and use clear examples before moving to harder material. I ask students to explain ideas back to me in their own words so I can check understanding and fix gaps early. I also use timelines, comparison charts, and short review quizzes to reinforce learning and build confidence.

A major accomplishment I’m proud of is earning a Division I opportunity in track through years of discipline, training, and consistency. Balancing academics with high-level athletics has strengthened my work ethic, time management, and resilience. I bring those same qualities into tutoring to help students set goals, stay accountable, and improve over time.
