I’m a student at Wake Forest University, where I’m exploring business while continuing to pursue my passion for mathematics. I graduated from Manhasset High School in 2024, and I want to give back to the community that supported me by helping younger students succeed. Tutoring is about clarity, patience, and building confidence. I enjoy showing students how math doesn’t have to feel intimidating by breaking down problems step by step until they become approachable and even fun.

I want to tutor because I know how much of a difference strong guidance can make, especially in math where concepts often build on each other. Helping students from my own community is important to me, and I want them to feel supported in subjects that can otherwise feel overwhelming.

In high school, I led study groups for AP Calculus and helped younger students with Algebra II and Pre-Calculus. I also worked with classmates on AP U.S. History projects, which taught me how collaboration and clear communication can improve learning for everyone.

When a student struggles, I first find out where their understanding starts to “break.” From there, I build back up slowly, using examples and practice problems to reinforce the basics before moving forward. I believe in turning mistakes into learning opportunities, which helps students approach challenges with more resilience.

At Wake Forest, I plan to combine my love of math with my interest in business, possibly pursuing accounting or finance. In high school, I balanced leadership roles in honor societies with my academics, which taught me time management and responsibility.

Math has always been my strongest subject, and I love helping students who might feel anxious about it. I especially enjoy tutoring calculus because I can simplify complex problems into smaller steps that build understanding and confidence.
